Helping Hands for NICU Moms

About us

Who we are

A community-driven nonprofit founded to support families navigating the emotional and overwhelming journey of having a baby in the NICU.

Helping Hands for NICU Moms organizes donation drives each year and assembles thoughtfully curated care baskets filled with comfort items, essentials, and encouragement for both mothers and their babies.

We do this because we understand how isolating and exhausting this season can be, and we believe that even small acts of kindness — like a warm blanket, a snack during a long night, or a handwritten note — can bring hope and remind mothers that they are not alone.

We’re based in the Treasure Valley area of Idaho and serve local NICU families by delivering baskets directly to mothers during their hospital stay. As we grow, our goal is to reach even more families throughout the region.

Tiffany walked beside her sister through months in the NICU and PICU with Alyssa’s son Maverick — and saw firsthand how much the small gestures mattered.

Alyssa is Maverick’s mom. Her own NICU experience inspired the mission: making sure other mothers facing the same uncertainty know someone is thinking of them, too.

For moms: comfort items such as cozy socks, blankets, toiletries, snacks, journals, and gift cards for meals or coffee. For babies: soft blankets, preemie clothing, swaddles, pacifiers, and other small essentials.
